Israel. Why’d You Do It?

Getting at the truth of matters. How is one to do it? Even if you’ve “been there” or even if you live there, the truth of matters does not thereby automatically open itself to you. You might think it does but you’re kidding yourself. You’re still embedded in your biases. Just like the rest of us. After all, in the land formerly called Palestine, where millions live and thousands have visited - there are great chasms of opinion as to the truth of matters. Resistance or terrorism? Defence or aggression? Right to exist or right to destroy? Anti-Semitism or hating an oppressor? Peace or reneging on peace? The Palestinian with the proverbial boot on the throat is complemented by the Israeli with a raw overpowering fear in her (or his) heart.
