Bush, Chavez & Ahmadinejad at the U.N. 2006

I’ll begin with a relentless take on the facile rhetoric of U.S. President Bush, follow that with some comments by the pugnacious Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and wrap up with the indisputable rationality of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Care to do the opposite? Good luck. I look forward to reading it.

This is an examination of three speeches without any pretense that all should be accorded equal respect. They shouldn’t. At any rate, they are all more or less self serving pieces of rhetoric - what else would you expect given the context? But given this context, how did these three leaders make out? Here’s my loaded view of the matter.
